iTexas Realty Co. Blog: I Didn't Make My Bed This Morning

I Didn't Make My Bed This Morning

Although, my mother would have frowned on it, this morning I celebrated my day by not making the bed. I know, I'm too old to have such a teen-age moment, but

Our House is Under Contract - and that's pretty exciting

After 100 days on the MLS, our San Antonio, Texas home should close on September 1st.

What will we miss the most?  Probably the view of the Canyon!

View of the Canyon

(But the new house will have a 3-car garage, where Steve and I can stash all of our extra real estate stuff!).  I will not miss having the house quite so show-ready and making sure that EVERYTHING is hidden away and that the stairs are vacuumed!

I'm pretty much willing to bet that everyone who sells their house has the "didn't make my bed day" after having their place on the market.  Enjoy it, tomorrow you make the bed!!

PS Congrats on the new house.

I don't blame you!  It's hard to keep a house viewer ready all of the time.  Congratulations!  The title really caught my eye, and I love the photo!  I love Paige's comment too - too true!

Congrats Sara! I hope you have an uneventful closing and you are entitled to skip a day of bed making every now and then!

I have to laugh at your post.  The best way for us to realize just how difficult it is for our sellers to keep their homes perpetually perfect for showings is to have to do it ourselves!  And I don't think I would have made the bed today either - or vacuumed!

I think I've sold a few because the sellers were sick of making the beds!

I've never made the bed. Drives my husband absolutely batty, but since he always makes it, why should I bother? LOL

Congratulations on selling your house, but is the 3-car garage and extra space for stashing real estate stuff the only reason why you're moving? Seems like buying one of those ready made sheds from Home Depot would have been a less expensive answer for that.
