One of the things that I enjoy the most about Summer is the summer-blooming flowers. One of my personal favorite varieties are Hydrangeas. Being an old-fashioned girl at heart, I can't get enough of the mounds of white flowers, faintly tinted in green at first, then in lavendar while viewed in the morning light under some trees.

Doesn't that just say
Summer in the Shade, to you?

Sara, lovely photo - thanks for sharing it with us! Susan
My mother always had these planted outside our dining room window when I was growing up... beautiful blue ones! So I always think of her when I see them. Thanks!
Very nice photo...I especially like how it is inset. I am curious how you did that--looks great.
Very pretty capture. Seems nice and cool . . .
I didn't know things could get that Green down in Texas. Very nice and it does say summer.
