It was a great evening to get out and check on the progress of one of our build sites. It was later in the day and I didn't expect anyone to be there, but as I was leaving, I spotted this little woodland friend.

I'm sure that the people who will be living in the home will be delighted to be able to see deer in the backyard.
I've already warned them not to plant roses!

She? is adorable!
That wouldn't happen to be in Canyon Ranch would it? She is so pretty!!
Great photo of that doe!
They are indeed beautiful but here in Austin they eat way more than roses ;-D
or hostas, or lilies, or pansies... Serious they are adorable Sara, but they do play havoc with gardens... All the best on your new builds...
Thanks all for stopping by to comment. Yes, the photo was from Canyon Ranch. I love to shoot the wildflowers near there as well. There about the only things that are safe from the deer when they get really hungry!

Sara, great photo, diffidently not a deer in head lights :) Thanks for sharing
I'd Love to see a deer in my backyard, a big buck with a rack.just so ya know Bambi would not be safe trespassing.
Hey, Sara - A few years ago I found a great web site about deer and roses, which you'll probably enjoy:
