I don't know if your addiction is this out of control, but we are such food freaks
that we drove to New Orleans last week, just for dinner.
We had the Oysters Bienville, the gumbo, delicious hush puppies, a redfish with buerre blanc and for dessert: Cappuccinos and cheesecake with a raspberry coulis!
The restaurant (name escapes me at the moment), had the most unusual yellow globe-shaped antique glass lighting. The photos don't do them justice.

It was a glorious feast! We certainly don't eat like that often, but rarely drive to New Orleans for dinner!

I've driven to Atlanta (about two hours) for Ethiopian food. Does that count?
Sounds like you had a great meal.
I like to try new places and new food. Iam not as freaky as you though as a hour drive is about all I want to do.
If I lived that close to New Orleans I'd probably drive there too for dinner!
A trip like that is not just the food- it's entertainment!
Looks and sounds yummy-- all the best for the holiday season.
Last week I found out about a place in Boston that offered $1 oysters after 10:00 on Wednesdays. So, guess where I was at 10:03 last Wendesday night? Needless to say, 2 1/2 dozens later, I felt very satisfied. A great end to a long real estate day!

You're making me hungry. There has too be way to many carbs in all of that.
Sara, I love it, it's something I would do too! What the heck, you only live once (?) :)
