This afternoon in San Antonio was simply gorgeous, the sun was shining, the skies were blue and the wildflowers were in full bloom on the roadsides.  I was lucky to catch these from my car window while at a stoplight.

Now, if we could just get some April showers.  Our annuals need some rain!

Well, the fact that it's a newer home (or that it wasn't re-painted that long ago), is a separate fact from your Realtor seeing siding that needs caulking, paint that has faded and trim that no longer looks crisp against the brick, stone or contrasting paint color.

If your Realtor notices, chances are that a prospective Buyer, or their Realtor will notice it as well.

Now, more than ever, it's important to have your San Antonio home ready to show. 

That is, if you are serious about SELLING!!!

Spring has broken through the shackles of the tiny Texas winter and the Homebuyers are coming out in San Antonio.

We are seeing more showings since the Easter holidays and the first trickle of out-of-town buyers are in town -shopping for homes! We had a nice family here looking for their relocation home this week. They have several top picks and are looking forward to having an accepted offer on one of them. We are expecting more through May and many have already booked their time with us.

So, dust your doors (don't forget the lockbox!), wash the windows, bake some cookies (they never go to waste), and be ready to show last-minute Buyers. Have a wonderful weekend!

On this glorious day, Steve and I wanted to wish all of our friends a very Happy Easter!

Although we can not all be with our family and friends far away, we hope that you were able to talk to all who are near and dear to you.

To hear about sightings of the Easter bunny, Hunts for eggs, wonderful family celebrations, small picnics in parks,

and to count your blessings and give thanks for all of the joys that we celebrate.

Yesterday, I noticed that one of the hanging plants on our front porch wasn't doing well.  It's on the warmest side of the house, and I thought that it might have gotten a bit dried out with the recent warm weather here in San Antonio.  I was disappointed to see it wilting as we had just hung the pots out again in anticipation of getting our home on the market soon after Easter.

This morning, when Steve took down this yellow Lantana off of our porch to give it some much needed water, this is what we saw and if you look carefully, you will see a little Easter surprise:

It has been warm and sunny this week in San Antonio, Texas and home building is progressing on this project which is scheduled for completion in June. 

You can see that since last week's progress post, the plumbing, radiant-barrier and ductwork have been installed - as well as the stairs! The roofing has been started and we should see shingles installed soon.

Next project up for the interior will be the electrical work and the wiring for phone and cable.  Keep and eye out for next week's photos to see how the project is moving along!

This past week we were at Flooring Services, SW, Ltd's new showroom on north Loop 1604 just east of Green Mountain Road (inside 1604).

With locations in Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Oklahoma City - they have us covered- and then some!  A subsidiary of Atlas Flooring, but they have it ALL; flooring (of course) granite counters, cabinetry, lighting, other interior decor options like paint colors, stain selections, door options, and exterior decor too: stone, brick, paint colors.  You can select everything you need to customize your project. 

We'll be seeing many of our clients for NEW homes at this new design center!

All I can say is:

"Don't let the "Limited" part in the name fool you!"  Their selection was gorgeous and design consultant Jamie, was wonderfully informative and showed us some new additions to the offerings.  So that you may see for yourself, here are some photos:

I love to watch the birds out the window from my breakfast room. 

They have really been tweeting up a storm in the Hornbeak Preserve behind our house.   This little crested guy was well camouflaged by the bare branches and I was unable to get as clear photo of him. 

You can barely see him at the top center of the photo.  At least he's safe from neighborhood cats!
